About

The International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) is a community integrating different national operational research associations of over 45 countries from three geographical areas that are: America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The African Federation of Operations Research Societies (AFROS) aims to cover the whole African continent. AFROS integrates African operational research associations such as the Institute for Operations Research of Nigeria (INFORN), the Operations Research Society of South Africa (ORSSA) and the Tunisian Operational Research Societies (TORS). As there is a notable opportunity in the potential for applying OR-MS in African countries, AFROS has as a goal to significantly extend the use of OR as an efficient technique for numerous issues in Africa.
